The artificial intelligence drilling technology research and development center is headed by Professor Wang Chengbiao, the foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Academy of Engineering, and the chief engineer of the research institute. The team size is 20, including 8 researchers with senior professional titles and 12 PhD/Master candidates.

 

     Committed to the R&D of oil and gas and solid mineral equipment and the R&D and application of intelligent drilling technology, focusing on technical problems such as superhard material manufacturing, downhole tool manufacturing, MWD and rotary steering tools, and surface protective coating manufacturing.

    

     At present, 8 patents have been applied for, and the "Artificial Intelligence Drilling Technology and Engineering Application" project has been approved and implemented by the school; a technology-based enterprise (Henan Wanqi Energy Technology Co., Ltd.) has been incubated; "Intelligent Rotation Guidance System" won the Outstanding Product Award of the 22nd China International High-tech Achievement Fair; provided consulting or technical services for 5 units including North China Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd.
