  Project Introduction

    In order to further improve the talent funding system of the Science Fund, give full play to the function of the Science Fund in introducing and cultivating talents, and attract outstanding young overseas talents to return to China (to China) to work, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as the Natural Science Foundation of China) will start from 2021. Establish the National Natural Science Foundation of China Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project (overseas).

 

 

 

    The Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project (Overseas) aims to attract and encourage outstanding young overseas scholars (including foreign talents of non-Chinese descent) who have achieved good results in natural sciences and engineering technology to return to work in China (coming to China) and independently choose research directions to carry out Innovative research promotes the rapid growth of young scientific and technological talents, cultivates a group of outstanding academic backbones who are expected to enter the forefront of science and technology in the world, and contribute to the building of a scientific and technological power.

 

  Declaration conditions

   1. Applicants for the Outstanding Youth Science Fund Project (overseas) should meet the following requirements:

 

      (1) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, have good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of a new era scientist;

 

      (2) The date of birth is after September 1, 1980;

 

      (3) Have a doctorate degree;

 

      (4) The research direction is mainly natural science, engineering technology, etc.;

 

      (5) Before April 30, 2021, generally should obtain formal teaching or scientific research positions in overseas universities, scientific research institutions, and corporate R&D institutions, and have more than 36 consecutive months of work experience; those who have obtained a doctorate degree overseas and have outstanding performance , The working life requirement can be appropriately relaxed;

  

      (6) Obtain scientific research or technological achievements recognized by peer experts, and have the development potential to become academic leaders or outstanding talents in this field;

 

      (7) The applicant has not yet returned to work in China (coming to China) full-time, or returned to work in China (coming to China) after September 1, 2019. After receiving the funding notice, you must quit your overseas job or have no job overseas, and return to your country (coming to China) full-time to work for no less than 3 years.

 

    2. Restricted item requirements:

 

      (1) The outstanding youth science fund project (overseas) implements the limit requirements of the outstanding youth science fund project in the "2021 National Natural Science Foundation Project Guide". The national talent plan of the same level can only apply for or undertake one item, and the application cannot be reversed. .

 

      (2) Those who applied for or were undertaking the Excellent Youth Science Fund project in the current year are not allowed to apply for the Excellent Youth Science Fund project (overseas).

 

 

  Job treatment

   1. The state provides 1 to 3 million yuan of scientific research funding support, and the funding period is 3 years;

 

   2.  According to the actual needs of talents, it can support the formation of academic teams, and provide corresponding experimental office space, team entry indicators, postdoctoral indicators, as well as doctoral and master tutor qualifications and enrollment indicators.
