Leader of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) Zhengzho

       On April 16, 2019, the deputy dean of the School of Engineering and Technology of China University of Geosciences (Beijing), the executive vice president of Zhengzhou Research Institute, Yue Wen, the CEO of Max Daph, and the deputy dean of Zhengzhou Research Institute, Zheng Bo, Li Peng, senior vice president of Mesdaf and general manager of Zhengzhou Research Institute, called on Baba Ahmed Jeddah, the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in China. Minister Counsellor Salou Aminu and the Immigration Affairs Attachment Ba Yansu Confucius attended the meeting.
        The two sides held discussions and exchanges on matters such as jointly promoting the Nigerian River Trade Corridor Project, inviting Nigerian authorities to visit China, and jointly building a national laboratory for energy and mineral resources evaluation in Nigeria.
        The Chinese side also attended the meeting with Wang Hao, general manager of Beijing Oriental Jinnuo Company, Yang Hao, deputy general manager of the company, Su Yongsheng, deputy director of the design of the second division of the China Communications and Water Transport Planning and Design Institute, and Cheng Hongjian, head of the African Division of the Overseas Business Division.
         Nigeria is the largest country in Africa, the largest economy in Africa, and a member of OPEC. Nigeria is the first African country to include the renminbi in foreign exchange reserves. Nigeria is China's third largest trading partner and second largest export market in Africa. China is Nigeria's largest import source and second largest trading partner. It has remained above $10 billion for six consecutive years.
